Awesome Austin Autumn Activities!

Awesome Austin Autumn Activities!

Although the temperature would indicate otherwise, the first day of fall was yesterday - which means the season of pumpkins, sweaters, and candy corn is upon us. Fall is one of the best times to go out with the family, and we have compiled some of the best spots in Austin to take the kids out for a weekend!

1. Sweet Berry Farm

The slogan of Sweet Berry Farm is “We have lots of activities for your family to 'Fall' in love with!” and they definitely don’t disappoint! At this farm you can stuff your own scarecrow, get lost in a corn maze, pick a pumpkin, or go on a hayride. Starting September 26th, you can take the family out to this *sweet* farm for a fun time!

2. Boo at the Zoo

During the month of October, the Austin Zoo is allowing kids inside the park after dark. Dressed in their favorite costume and candy baskets in hand, they can look at all of the attractions the zoo has to offer. Packing a picnic is encouraged!

3. Round Rock Chalk Walk

According to Round Rock Arts, the Round Rock Chalk Walk is their version of an Italian street painting festival. Families will have an awesome time interacting with the artists, watching a mural being created, listening to the music, and eating delicious local food at this FREE event.

Taking place in Austin’s Historic Sixth St. District, the Old Pecan Street Festival is a long standing Austin tradition. Come for the art, come for the clothes, come for the food! No matter what you come for, your family will have a blast.
